Royal Ladies Organises Health Walk, Medical Screening

The women’s wing of Royalhouse Chapel International, Royal Ladies Ministry, over the weekend held a health walk through the principal streets of Accra to create awareness about the gospel of Christ and healthy living. The walk formed part of the birthday celebration of the founder and president of the Royal Ladies Ministry, Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye-Ankrah who turned 60 on May 23, 2022.

The exercise, led by Rev. Mrs. Korankye-Ankrah, commenced at 7am on Saturday morning from the premises of the Royalhouse Chapel International headquarters, Ahenfie, in Accra. Scores of church members and well-wishers walked from the church through circle to the industrial area, North Kaneshie and then back to the church. The two-hour walk was followed by an aerobics session and free medical screening, where participants were tested for blood pressure, typhoid, malaria, blood sugar and Hepatitis B. Free eye and breast cancer screening were also conducted for patrons.

Interacting with the media, President of the Royal Ladies Ministry, Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye-Ankrah, said exercising is part of her lifestyle and therefore she decided to bring others on board, especially on the occasion of her 60th birthday.

“I believe that if you want to live the full life God has given you, you have to take good care of yourself; you need to exercise and eat well. So, this morning, I decided that as part of my 60th birthday, let me ask my loved ones to join me to do a health and prayer walk around Accra to help increase our lifespan,” she said. Rev. Mrs. Korankye-Ankrah said the health screening was to help participants screen for various health conditions for early identification for better treatment outcomes.

“We are also doing something I do yearly, sometimes twice in a year, what I call physical medical check-ups. Every October is breast cancer awareness month, but don’t let it remain in October, do regular checks,” she said. “When you wake up in the morning, breath in and out; breathe in oxygen and breathe out all the toxins, all the bitterness, hurt and unforgiveness that is inside of you and if you do, it my darling, at year 100 we will still be walking and dancing at church,” she added. The celebrant wished Royalhouse and Royal Ladies, a healthy life.
