"Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them because he has defied the armies of the living God." 1 Samuel 17:36 NIV At one point in one's life, you go through your moment of "wilderness", where it feels like you have been rejected and relegated to the back. It's a place where you feel unimportant to society and as if the world is against you. Like David, he was relegated to the back and was left in the bush to tend his father's sheep whiles his older brothers worked in the office of King Saul. He was in his moment of wilderness. He learned to be skillful, and with that, he rescued the sheep from wild predators like lions and bears. When the spotlight fell on him, he saw the Goliath challenge as a no brainer, he killed him easily and brought victory to Israel. It is in your moment of wilderness you discover your potential and gifts. When the spotlight of God falls upon you, you don't need to announce your presence because people will look for you. It is in your wilderness that the Lord trains and prepares you for victory. In your state of wilderness, never give up because God is right there with you. #Prayer: Dear Lord, in my state of wilderness may I see your face. Prune me for great exploits and give me the grace to never give up on you in Jesus' name. Amen.
