THE TROUBLER (I Am a Trouble Maker)

"When he saw Elijah, he said to him, “Is that you, you troubler of Israel?” “I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied. “But you and your father’s family have... " 1 Kings 18:17‭-‬18 NIV If you intend to be great in life you must be prepared to be called names. Elijah was called a trouble maker because he caused a lot of disruptions in the land of Samaria. In the preceding chapters, Elijah always acted to ensure that the people of Israel will repent of their sins and serve God. Elijah commanded that there would be no rain for a few years (chapter 17:1) and this brought a whole nation to a standstill by the word of his mouth. He brought famine to the land. He killed all the 450 false prophets of Jezebel (vs 39 &40) and commanded fire from heaven (vs 38). At the end of it all Elijah turned the hearts of the Israelites toward God. For you to move higher in life, you need three things to be a "trouble maker." 1. Have the spirit of boldness. 2. Be filled with the Holy Spirit 3. Operate in the supernatural power of God, evidenced by miracles. #Prayer: O'Lord, give me the heart to be different and the wisdom and grace to follow your steps for greater heights in Jesus' name!
