THE SUFFICIENCY OF HIS GRACE(Testing Of Your Faith)

#SamKorankyeAnkrah

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."
James 1:2‭-‬4 NKJV

Yesterday we looked at Paul's peculiar affliction and discovered that all afflictions come with a purpose. Today, I want to highlight one of the purposes of afflictions-to test your faith in God.

The book of James was addressed to believers who were persecuted and in abject poverty. He opened with a message to inform and reorient their minds and disposition when faced with trials and afflictions. He admonished them to count it all joy instead of complaining or worrying in the face of trials.

He also said it was a test of their faith meant to produce patience to make them perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Trials reveal who we truly are on the inside and they're God's way of measuring how much faith we have. It is easier to say we have faith when things are good but the difficult moments will show whether your words are true. When you tend to complain and worry in difficult times, then you know your faith is not strong. But when you are full of joy and praise regardless of the afllictions that come your way, you prove to God that your faith in Him is not reliant on circumstances.

We must learn to trust God even when things don't go the way we expect or plan. Our faith must be firmly rooted in God and in His unfailing word so that when the storms of affliction blow, we will still remain firm in Him.

I pray for you today, that you will remain steadfast in your faith and bear righteous fruits from your moments if affliction in Jesus's name. Amen.
