THE SUFFICIENCY OF HIS GRACE(Purpose In Afflictions)

#SamKorankyeAnkrah

"And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.
" 2 Corinthians 12:7 NKJV

In today's age, we tend to think that once we become followers of Jesus and believers, there is an end to all affliction and trouble. However, on the contrary as long as we are human, we shall go through afflictions and troubles.

From our scripture, we see that Paul is buffeted by a peculiar affliction. We dont know for certain what exactly that thorn in his flesh was, but we can tell he was troubled because he continued to ask God for some respite. Despite the pain he was experiencing, he was able to identify that there was a purpose for the trouble he was going through.

Here are three reasons afflictions may come to you:
1. To test your faith
2. To experience the love and power of God
3. To keep you humble

Afflictions are a true test of your faith and they present an opportunity for you to experience the fulness of God's love and power. Paul was a man of great revelations so his affliction was to keep him humble so he wouldn't exalt himself above measure.

There is a purpose for your affliction and if you pass the test, you will come out victorious and strong in the name of Jesus.

Remain steadfast in the faith. The Lord is with you.
