"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Psalms 23:1 (NKJV)

An attribute is described by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as a quality, character or characteristic ascribed to someone. So a person's attributes refer to the unique qualities that make up the identity of that person.

In the Old Testament, God is known as Yahweh or Adonai and He revealed Himself and His attributes to those who walked with Him.

Psalm 23 is a scripture where David speaks of God's attribute as a shepherd who provides, guides, protects and comforts. Many years later, Jesus arrives on the scene and speaks of Himself as the good shepherd in John 10:11  who not only takes care of the sheep but ultimately, He lays down His life for the sheep.

From this, we can see that Jesus portrays the attribute of God which we see in Psalm 23. He identifies Himself as a shepherd just like Yahweh / Adonai of the Old Testament. As a son, you carry the DNA of your father so for Jesus to show Himself as a shepherd, it proves that He is truly the son of God.

The evidence that we are children of God is seen in our works and character in our daily living. The more you become like God, the more of Him you'll express.

#Prayer
Father, I pray that let your qualities be replicated in me that men will know that I am truly a child of God, in the name of Jesus.
