JESUS, THE SON OF GOD (Proof Of His Sonship)

"So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”"
Matthew 27:54 (NKJV)
After Jesus had drawn his last breath on the cross, there was a great shaking in the earth, so much so that graves were opened and the dead arose. When the Centurion and guards saw all that, they were convicted in their hearts that Jesus was truly the son of God.
Throughout history, there has been a lot of debate about the identity of Jesus and the authenticity of His story. Many have argued to deny Him and more so to denounce His sonship.
Jesus admitting to being the Son of God was one of the grounds for which He was crucified. However, some of the men who actively partook in ridiculing Jesus even at the point of his death had an encounter that changed their minds.
Jesus isn't recognized as the Son of God just by hearsay or folktale but there is biblical proof that points to Jesus being the Son of God.
The proof of His Sonship is attested to by His:
1. Attributes
2. Obedience to God
3. Example
Accepting and believing Jesus as the Son of God is the first step to knowing and getting close to God.

This week I pray that I will have an encounter with Jesus, the Son of God like the Centurion and guards did, in the name of Jesus.
