HONORING A FATHER (Appreciate the Father’s role)

“you shall take for yourself all food that is eaten, it shall be food for you and them.” Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him.”
Genesis 6:21-22
God is our loving Father and has given us earthly fathers to play specific roles. All fathers, whether biological, adopted, or spiritual, have duties to fulfill. They protect, provide for, teach, and correct their children.
Noah is an example of a father who performed his role well. He obeyed God and ensured his family was safe during the great flood. His family survived because of his obedience.
Fathers carry out essential roles not just for themselves but for their children. As a father, know that this is a selfless duty that God has given you, for which you will be held accountable. As a son or daughter, you benefit from the authority and covering of your father when you honor and respect his role. It saves you from excessive struggles in life.
To all fathers, I pray that the sacrifices you made in fulfilling your mandate will be honored. May you not struggle to father your children, and may your children submit to your authority in Jesus’ name!
