“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV
The wilderness and desert are two places that depict need and lack; it is hard to find water in the desert, hard to find a path in the wilderness. Both experiences are physically draining and have a likelihood of breaking you down.
God, however, gives us an assurance: He will make a way even under such difficult conditions.
He creates a new path in the wilderness so you can be guided through it. He provides water in the desert so your thirst is quenched.
When God shows up in your life, streams flow in your desert places, a highway is created in your wilderness. In a dry and parched land, He still brings growth. A failing life receives resurrection. Dying careers get revived. Contentious marriages and relationships get healed and physical limitations give way for healing. He makes all things new.
There is a condition to be observed: Do not give significance to past experiences of limitations.
Dwelling on your past challenges only create doubts and further diminish your faith. Focus on His power to perform and it shall be so.
Pray with me:
Dear Lord, cause rivers to flow in my desert and a path in my wilderness. Do a new thing in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen!
