Double Portion (Go, Sell the Oil, Pay Your Debts)
“Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant, my husband, is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And now his creditor is coming to take my two children as his slaves!”
2 Kings 4:1
This scripture is about a destitute woman who was on the verge of losing her sons because of huge debts that her late husband owed and could not pay before his demise.
It seemed like an impossible situation that could not be salvaged but we can all learn from this woman. She approached the Prophet Elisha in her distress, received prophetic instructions and after following them to the letter, was able to turn her life around completely.
This is the 4th Month of the year and I know you may already have questions on your mind. Is that situation going to get better? Are you going to be able to raise that money? Will you be able to pay off those debts?
I come with good news from the Most High
; He will supply your needs according to His riches in Glory. You will not only pay off your debts, but you will also have enough to live on for the rest of the year.
As you continually walk with the Lord and follow His command, He will establish you in all areas of your life. This is your season of the double and the Lord will grant you double blessings in Jesus name, Amen.
